NICU Nurse
Job Description
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated NICU Nurse to join our team. As a NICU Nurse at UAE Hospitals, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care and support to newborns requiring intensive care. As a NICU Nurse, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to monitor the health and development of newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will provide direct care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support families during this critical time.
Responsibilities
Assess and monitor the health status of newborns in the NICU Provide direct nursing care and interventions based on individual patient needs Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians Monitor vital signs, blood glucose levels, and oxygen saturation levels Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care Educate and support families on newborn care and medical procedures Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments and interventions Adhere to infection control and safety protocols Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in NICU care
Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in NICU nursing Specialized knowledge of newborn care and development Strong understanding of NICU protocols, procedures, and best practices Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred)
